ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT CELL

Functions:

  • To organize Entrepreneurship Awareness Camps, Entrepreneurship Development Programs, and Skill Development Programs.

  • To organize National-wide e-summit.

  • To initiate Innovative Products for Smart India Hackathon, MSME, J-Hub, and Kavach.

  • To guide and assist potential entrepreneurs in the process of setting up, growing, and managing the new venture.

  • To arrange guest lectures with successful entrepreneurs.

  • To organize Idea Presentations, Business Plan Competitions, Product Exhibitions, and Product Launch.

  • To provide technological & logistical assistance and awareness on monetary fund sources to the prospective entrepreneurs.

  • To organize SDPs and FDPs on e-skill development.

  • Responsible for establishing industry-institute interaction.

  • Getting financial support from industry, research organizations, and Govt. agencies for R&D Projects.

  • Marketing the consultancy services offered by the department.

  • Arranging internships.

  • Involves industrial experts to be on the college Governing Council, Academic Council, BOS, Department Development Committees, Training and Placement Committee, etc.

  • Fructifying the tie-ups into MOUs with industry for the purpose of training, placements, internships, and utilizing the services for entrepreneurship development programs.

Responsibilities of Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC):

  • Encourage students to explore entrepreneurial opportunities and nurture their innovative ideas.

  • Organize workshops, seminars, and guest lectures on entrepreneurship, business management, and startup strategies.

  • Conduct skill development programs and hands-on training to enhance entrepreneurial competencies.

  • Arrange interaction sessions with successful entrepreneurs to share experiences and best practices.

  • Build partnerships with incubation centers, financial institutions, and government organizations to support startups.

  • Guide students in securing seed funding, grants, and venture capital from government and private sources.

Frequency of Meeting: Twice in a year.
